Beatrice "Betty" Blackmore is certainly wise to the ways of the world. At twenty seven she is widowed with one son. She has moved back in with her family with the hopes of giving her son the best life she can. Now with her younger sister Daphne making her debut into society Betty must try her hardest to make sure her sister finds a man she can love not the just the first man to come calling. Betty is surprised when she herself has a most unexpected suitor. Betty must try to keep herself happy while putting the needs of her family first.
