As attested by the old Rotherians, with the vanquishment of the night, a curse descended upon their land wherefore withheld the sun from sight. And in order for the day and sun to come out, the night must return. In an attempt to lift the veil of curse that's wrapped around their land and free themselves from the clutches of chaos and darkness, the High Priestess of Arcanus resorted to experimenting on the asylum seekers, attempting to turn them into demi-deities and altering their once erstwhile mundane bodies, bequeathing each of the subjects with supernatural abilities. But none of them survived the transcendence rite to fulfill their duty. The experiment was later abandoned by the High Priestess after several failed attempts, facing the deaths of half the asylum seekers. She concluded that it was because the subjects' bodies were too frail. She had no choice but to stop or there will be no left for them to save. For a long time, it remained a forlorn dream until a ray of hope appeared in the presence of the new asylum seekers. Their arrival has been foretold. A promise from the gods. To avoid making the same mistake again, the High Priestess held a Conclave instead of blindly selecting subjects. It is designed to hone their bodies in preparation for transcendence while they are killing each other and other beings attempting to kill them. Who will make it out alive? Darkness. Secrets. Supernatural beings. Betrayals. Monsters. Revenge. Otherworldly. Survival. Out of many, only nine of them survived.
