Introduction

Why does God feel so distant? Why do we want to do good, but end up doing evil?

In this term paper, I will be summarizing the teachings of Dr. John Coe on human morality, what it means to become "new" in Christ, and why God feels like He is far from us - also known as the Dark Night of the Soul.
