There was another prophecy spoken by the ancient Jed-aii, long since forgotten by the Jedi, and the Sith. One that foretold a time when the darkness would forever consume the light, end the balance of light and dark once and for all, and the chosen one of that time would fail and serve the darkness. When that happens, the previous chosen would be sent back to the past with an apprentice and a family member they had wronged, pulled from different time streams to ensure that the darkness can never take a proper hold on the galaxy again.
