She is betrayed by the people she considered her family. Yvonne thought she died and will soon be in the after life after stabbing herself in the heart to avoid becoming a flesh-eating monster, however this is not the case.

She believed death would be the end of her, but that changed when she woke up in her room one morning, five months before the apocalypse.
