Moose and Goose (2021) follows the befallen tragedies of Judith Jefferson, a melancholic yet altruistic nineteen-year-old university junior majoring in medicine. In 1979, fresh out of an asylum, she juggles an arranged marriage, violence, grief, and betrayal as the new year rolls in. In her journal, she laments over her struggles with feelings of invisibility and loneliness, pleading for someone to notice her anguish. Soon, her prayers for friends are answered in the form of a hexad, one of whom is a gentle giant who shares the same struggles as her but copes with them by playing intergalactic, animal-themed arcade games, and new opportunities arrive via a charming NAACP representative of a rival university.
