Chapter 1: the wrong foot

In 1972 the Colorado Springs Police Department isn't the ideal workplace for a black woman, but one man makes it worth it. His name is Flip Zimmerman. Against the odds, they fall for each other. But things become complicated as his role with the KKK and the CSPD force them both to question what they are willing to sacrifice for one another.
