The Setup

This started out as a 100 word story for New York City Midnight. I didn't get into the second round, but I decided to expand it. It was Horror, I had to use the action of shuffling cards, and had to use the word wind. I'm going to add it to my weekend writein stories and see how it goes. The setting is the Dust Bowl in the 1930s. I'm also experimenting with 2nd person.
