Beatrice Palmer never expected that becoming friends with the popular girls meant being involved in uncomfortable situations like parties and practical jokes. All she wants is peace to read her books and be herself.
In an attempt to cheer herself up, she takes a sticky note and leaves it in a book with a little message, hoping that someone would see a piece of who she really was, even if they didn't know it was her. She wasn't expecting to find a response the next day. From that moment on, she swaps notes with an anonymous bookworm just like her.
