A Brief Backstory

"Sir? I think you just turned the wrong way?" He turns around and grins. "No." he says. "Yes!" I insist. "This isn't the way to my, um, my house." His eyes dance with amusement. "Who said we were going to your house?
Mallory is a homeless runaway. She takes cabs from state to state. She steals from convenience stores. Her life on the edge of society is perfect to her.
Until one day, a cab turns the wrong direction, and she disappears.
The man does cruel experiments on her, pushing her to the very edge of sanity. No one can, or will, help her.
And worst of all, she might be falling for the man's assistant.
