Prologue

Clary found herself sketching a rune. Little did she know, this rune had the power to bring back an earlier generation of shadowhunters from the 19th century. Clary Fray, Jace Herondale, Alec Lightwood, and Isabelle Lightwood find themselves joining Charlotte Branwell, Henry Branwell, Will Herondale, Cecily Herondale, and Gabriel Lightwood.

(This story takes place after city of heavenly fire. The earlier generation of shadowhunters have traveled ages in time right after Clockwork Princess.)
