As they both start their new lives neither of them have high expectations for their futures. Sadie Brown is an eighteen year old girl who is preparing to leave her home to start her first year at Boston University. Just as luck has it there happens to also be a new professor, Ezra Monroe, who is thirty two years old. When Sadie is assigned to Professor Monroe's class she finds herself having to make more adjustments than she had planned. While the school year comes to an end the secrets and lies continue to unravel.
