Keep in mind this was one of my very first books. This is going to be lower quality than my more recent ones.

Philza never saw himself having kids. And then he finds a runaway, and he supposes there's no harm in adopting him. He didn't exactly expect it to happen again, and again, and again, maybe even more times. But he's not complaining, sometimes the best things happen by surprise, he supposes.
To be honest, I project myself and my habits onto Wilbur in this book lol (not the abuse tho, I was never abused).
Sbi is the family I need/want in my life in this book
