Description
Tal is no ordinary fourteen-year-old girl. Perhaps it was that she had grown up without a Mother, or perhaps it was that she did have a useless Father, and two increasingly distant Brother's. Maybe it was that her favourite hobbies included thieving with street orphans that didn't know her name, and leaping from rooftop to rooftop at night, just to feel free from every other part of her life. Maybe she was the freak her neighbours thought her to be. But then, after another long evening of disappointed silence from her Father, and staring down a future she did not want that was closing her fast, Tal escapes out into the cold rain. Little does she know that something big is waiting for her nearby. Something that does not belong on her ordinary street. Something that will forever change her not so ordinary life...
