Chapter 1

Brooklyn had been kidnapped by HYDRA when she was just five years old. 15 years later she manages to escape during an attack on the compound by the Avengers. What she doesn't expect is to see her father again. She battles through the traumatic events of her past with everyone around her, building on relationship between her and father again, as well as her relationship with everyone else as she learns to trust, not just herself but everyone new in her life. What she most definitely did not expect was that she was deserving of love after what she had done in the past, especially not with a particular man in the public eye.
