"You don't understand!" "What do you mean? What's the big deal?!" "We haven't had a new mermaid in nearly 50 years; people don't exactly do the whole 'walk the plank' thing anymore, you know. Amelia and Rachel are just two girls enjoying a week away filled with sun, sand and fun. Some of that fun came in the form of Nathaniel and Antonio but the girls should have paid closer attention to their drinks because one minute they were dancing the night away, the next, they were descending down to the ocean floor. This tail(pardon the pun) follows a girl as she learns to adapt to life in the Aquatic Kingdom of Atlantis but as she begins and her new friends start to uncover a plot, they unearth secrets that dangerous people would rather stay buried. This was my first proper attempt at a book. I have pretty much given up though but feel free to take the plot and put your own twist on it.
