Prologue*

"Louis, let me be open with you," he mutters softly.

My brain was pounding with warnings. I knew deep down that he wasn't going to be open. He was going to spew a bunch of lies. I was starting to believe that everything he has ever told me were lies.

But the bigger half, wanted so badly to listen. To let his deep, smooth voice talk as slowly as he does. The part that wanted to ignore the warning signs.

The annoying, confusing part.
