Prelude

There were no clear answers in the shattered city Jessica had once called home. Her apologies to try and fix her mistakes were to no avail, motivation to continue fighting was low, and her foolish actions led to a shattered family much like her own.

Still, the beast ravaged, and Jessica wasn't going to give up. Determined to fix what she had broken, she aimed to earn forgiveness, trust, and to build a world for humans and monsters in peace.

In the circumstances, the feat seemed hopeless...

But there was nothing to stop what was beyond hope.
