Description
Eloise is satisfied with locking herself away in her downtown apartment until the end of time, and despite her inner turmoil, she is also catastrophically in love with Ramona, a woman who she has never met in person. When their physical paths finally cross, Eloise is dragged into the real world with its real dangers, and real Ramona, whose real life is far more dangerous than Eloise could have ever imagined. While part of her wants to shutter herself back into her apartment, Eloise knows that in doing so she will also be locking herself from the only person who is willing to help draw her from the prison of her own devising. ---- "You can't just sit there and tell me that you don't want this! That you don't want anything to do with this, or with me, Eloise! You don't get to do that!" "Just watch me!" I thought she would let me walk away from her, to let me go wallow in my own self-pity and cry into a tub of chocolate ice cream, but Ramona wasn't one to walk away from a fight, that much was obvious. So she stopped me, she spun me around and pressed her lips against mine, hungry for a version of me I wasn't sure I was able to give. ~This is a short story~
