Chapter One-Introduction

Caleb is the golden boy of Valarie's high school; he is the star football player, President of the Student Council, the 4.0 genius and the teacher's pet. Valarie on the other hand is his girlfriend, and can see his dark, manipulative, degrading character that lies beneath the surface. Trapped in an unhealthy relationship she thinks all is lost, including herself; that is until she befriends an unlikely boy who shows her how love is supposed to feel.
