Marriage was never one of the many things Malia Detro wanted. Being one of the weak Italian Mafia groups her dad (aka the leader) would do anything he could for power. The only thing that mattered to him was power. He didn't care about his wife or daughter. He would constantly cheat on his wife. And showed no interest in his daughter. But when the opportunity came for him to combine his power with one of the biggest Italian Mafia Groups he didn't hesitate once to say yes. But for him to join forces with the Mafia group he had to ensure that Ace Vinceair (aka the heir to the Mafia group) became the leader of his parents Mafia. That's when he finally started to show interest in his daughter. Not a lot but at least some. And that some was only her presence on this earth. He forced his daughter (Malia) to marry Ace. Neither one of them wanting it. The only thing Ace was looking forward too through this yes or yes situation was the power he would get out of it. Both Malia and Ace wanting separate things.
