I understood why it took me by surprise seeing you again.
I froze.
I felt like a mouse where my voice was to quiet and not loud enough for the cat to hear.
You looked at me in a way that I didn't understand.
I couldn't decide if you felt grief or sorrow.
Maybe something else that I didn't understand.
Were you the cat that finally heard me?
Or were you another mouse unheard?
