Thunk! That's... A lot heavier than the thumps you usually hear. You got used to the sound of soft clangs from the cats that would jump down on your fire escape, but this sounded much heavier than any cat. You were also familiar with the shadow of a cat passing by your curtains afterward. You pause your movie and slowly push your seat back, feeling your heartbeat start to fasten. What if it was those guys who tried to mug you? Did they manage to find out where you live? You swiftly swipe your phone from your table and move closer to your window. "Who's out there?" No reply, but your gut was telling you that there was someone out there as you unlocked your phone. "If you don't show yourself, I'm going to call the police!" You threaten, dialing 911 on your phone. You hover your thumb over the call button and still, you heard nothing outside your window. "In three... Two... One!" You were about to press the dial button before a silvery and orotund voice spoke outside your window. "Wait wait wait, I'm not a bad guy!"
