What if FBI agent Peter Burke recruited con artist Neal Caffrey instead of arresting him? Peter goes undercover to thwart a museum theft, with unexpected help from Neal.

This is the first story in the Caffrey Conversation series written with Silbrith. Peter is a father figure to Neal, and he slowly begins to unravel the mysteries around the shadowy con artist when they both travel to Neal's hometown of St. Louis.

Prequel AU for the White Collar TV Series. Set in late 2003.
