When Kali Reese is in the beginning of 10th grade she finds her mate, Kyle Hayes. They are best friends but one day Kyle says they can't be friends anymore Bc he's going to be an alpha and can't hang around anyone that's too bubbly, silly or "not serious" and just a day or two later they find out that they're mates. Sadly he rejects her, but they do cross paths later on in life.
