Never did the people of 2485 believe that they could potentially be the downfall of mankind. Yet twenty years later, the world population has decreased to a fourth of it's original size and nobody knows how to stop it from continuing to shrink. But there are people willing to try. In the year 2579 scientists hired by the government were given over one billion dollars to try and find the cause of the human downfall. They came up with an answer in a short week: the Sigma Virus. From there Project Sigma was created. Adolescents were offered as test subjects, believed to be better suited for the conditions of the trials. Sent into the wild to survive, the scientists studied the emotions and chemicals working in the adolescents body, finding a common feature that both the Sigma Virus and the adolescents had: the chemical that causes fear. That's what Project Sigma was. Fear.
