Madeleine was a princess fairer than celestial blood. She was loved by all of the Kingdom of Mavealon and was constantly surrounded by royal guards for her own protection. Her 20th birthday was spent identically to her past birthdays; an extravagant ball and sore heels from the dancing she was pushed to do. Every year was the exact same -- well, until a notorious criminal re-appeared and placed his palm in her hand.
