He spun and went straight for me, panic setting in, and in an act of fear, I sliced once without thinking, knowing I was about to feel a stab wound somewhere important. However, it didn't come, and I opened my eyes, unaware I'd even closed them. I heard heavy breath and slowly looked up. The man held the corner of his face, his head down so that only I could see what had happened. I then saw in my lap, a corner of his white ceramic mask, one of the beady eyes and the corner of the smile on it. I was breathing heavily and so was he, the crowd silently waiting. "I-" my voice caused him to jump, spinning and exiting the back of the ring as he covered what part of his face that the mask had exposed.
