A man of foreign origin appears in Japan after hearing of countless stories of lands torn between rival daimyos battling each other for supremacy, a haven for samurai and ronin, cutthroats and adventurers, all willing to risk their lives in pursuit of fortune, power, or glory.

In this land which holds great dangers and even greater opportunities, he believes he can leave his life all behind and start a new life. He believes he finally holds the key to his destiny free to choose as he wills it.
