Berk never did recover. Hiccup's disappearance left a large hole in their lives. No one ever realised how important the blacksmith was until he wasn't there anymore. Astrid would go to the island, staring at the bones and wonder what happened to her friend. She only wished he had never come home.

Viggo smiled as he pulled the ship to Berk's dock. 'You ready to go home?'

'I'm ready. They'll regret ever turning on me.'
