Description
A new year has come, and with it, new problems arise. Jed Hamilton must now deal with not only being a part of the magical world, but he must also answer to the student government regarding his relationship with his stepsister Zoey and her daughter Hadley. At the same time, his parents Erwin and Linda must answer the Council of Mothers regarding them raising Jed as their son. Katharine Moonfire also explains to the council the ugly truth about her grandson Jimmy, who recently revealed an unbearable secret about his tormentors. Speaking of which, Jimmy gets his magical club off the ground, which gains the Magical Secret Society some brand-new allies. Milton returns to school, but the other students have turned against him and Clay isn't allowed to talk to him. The Magical Secret Society amps up its efforts to help protect the disabled students from their normal classmates. As for Jed, he meets his grandparents Michael and Janice Williams, who live in Washington DC. They tell him that their daughter Emily was a troubled young girl who had been abused by the son of a family friend because she wasn't Michael's daughter. She eventually ran away from home and was taken to Barlean, which was how she met Zach and had Jed. Jed also meets two families who claimed to have adopted his two younger sisters Spenser and Brianna, which drives another wedge between him and his family. But Chelsea has a solution for the problems that everyone is facing, but will Jed accept the solution for his problems?
