Emery Franklin is a beautiful and intelligent college junior, who's ready to experience life and finally live the life that she wants. She was raised in the southern state of Mississippi so moving to North Carolina for college was a major move. She meets several interesting people, including a basketball player named William Casner. They become really close and eventually end up forming a relationship, but little do they know, they're two different people from two different sides of the tracks.
