A serial novel depicting Las Vegas in the late 1960s. Virgil, growing up in a city where things tend to be over-sexualization and readily available, is having trouble fitting in. Or getting sex. He's also facing the Draft. He dreams of Alisa, the budding sci-fi writer high school classmate, and doing "something, anything" better with his time than just wanting. A chance meeting with a PR man at the local University brings him into the secret world of the Circus Circus casino and the even more secret nightclub hidden high in its rafters. Organized crime and disorganized lives in a town coming of age through the eyes of a boy riding through his peculiar hometown on a bicycle.
