Roselyn Ketchum is Ash Ketchum's little sister by a year and a half. But both her mother and brother don't think she can be a pokemon trainer for reasons unknown to her. But she didn't know that until the night before her brother was to receive his first pokemon when she overheard the talking. "What are you going to do mom. You know how she want to be a trainer even though she isn't aloud to be," she heard her brother ask as she hid behind a wall. Her mother sighed as she replied with, "I don't know Ash. What excuse could we come up with that would be believable so she gives up trying to be a trainer." She couldn't believe it. Her own family doesn't want her to be a trainer.
