Chapter ONE

After the "Blip", daughter of an immigrant father, and an African-American mother; Ayla Aslan, finds herself back in her hometown, Delacroix, Loisiana. Broke, living with her parents, and desperate for some action in her life, she meets a guy, agrees to go on an arranged date. All of a sudden, she finds herself in between two worlds, one filled with racism, ignorance and the mundane, the other; surreal, but an escape from her boring life.
