Noelle was disowned by her family for not wanting to follow in her families footsteps in becoming a demon slayer, at the age of 10 they sent her to an orphanage in village where she would be far away from them, there she befriended a boy by the name of Asta, she would often stay spend time with his family in the mountains where they lived, but one day when she went to visit him she bare witness to the horror of Asta's family killed all but Asta, in a panic Noelle tried to take him to a doctor but quickly realised he was turned into......a demon
