Melody Rivers was the Kook with her nose in a book. She didn't seem to have many friends; those she used to have had left her long ago. The girl hated the life she had, wishing she wasn't a Kook with her life already planned out for her. She used to escape from her life with the stories she read, wondering if adventure would find her too.

But when it did, she wasn't ready for the hardships that came with it.
