"Notice you?" he butted in. I nodded at his words, gesturing for him to continue. "Notice your little quirks? How when you get angry, you start to stutter? Notice how your eyes light up whenever someone you care about walks into the room? How you seem to just let everybody walk all over you because you're afraid to lose them?"
I didn't say anything. I couldn't, I was too stunned. So I simply nodded again.
He chuckled.

"Fuck, Smarty. For someone who wants to be noticed so badly, you're not very perceptive yourself."
