Percy Jackson has never been one to sit around while the wolrd was in danger. From the age 12, he had been on quest after quest trying to keep the people that he cared about safe. He had seen numerous people die, friends, strangers. None of them hurt as worse as the latest one though. Leo Valdez. A member of the seven, one of Percy's friends. He sacrificed everything for them to win against Gaea when it should never had been his to sacrifice. Percy should have made that sacrifice, after all he's been prepared to die since he learned of the last great prophecy surrounding him. Leo never got to live life. He never got to exprience camp without the threat of war or the fun of tornements during summer or the love of family that camp provided. Percy had exprienced that. Percy struggles greatly after the end of the Giant war. He doesn't no how to cope with how he's feeling, all the guilt of still being alive. This wasn't a new thing however, he felt this way after the Titan war as well, but Hera kidnapped him before he could deal with it. So when a god offers him a chance to get through this, he takes in in a heartbeat, without knowing the concequences. In order to find himself and heal, he must give up, even if it is temperary. Something he has never done before. Upon his return, things take a turn for the worse and all his progress is gone. He is utterly destroyed from with in and an unlikely purpose is thrust apon him by the gods.
