Author Note

Thirteen-year-old Brielle has never really fit in with the other children in her village, preferring being alone in the forest to talking and playing games. However, isn't until strange creatures made of white fire terrorise the village, seeking Brielle, that she begins to realise how different she really is. Along with her dog, Sparrow, Brielle is forced to flee in search of her relatives in the mountains with no directions, not even a map. But they aren't alone. An ancient evil is awakening and Brielle is being hunted.
