Carolina Miller is nothing like either her mother or her sister Ginny and Georgia. She's grateful toward her mother knowing very little of what their mother has actually done for them, but she's grieving and trying to move on from a history that leaves her broken, damaged and angry. When the Millers move to Wellsbury, Carolina can't seem to fit in, and she doesn't want to. She prefers to be alone. But with drinking and smoking as her type of medicine to get through the pain and get a good night's sleep, the one that might be able to help the most is the boy next door. Will Carolina give in to what she feels for Marcus, or fight it till the end?
