He was sorted into Slytherin and tried so hard to fit the stereotype.
She noticed him, not as what he perceived to be but as what he truly was.

Being friends with not only Lily Evans, Marlene McKinnon, Dorcas Meadows and Mary Macdonald but also the infamous Marauders made the whole thing interesting.
