Pronoun are She/her, sorry if it's just that and to before reading the story here are some things about the reader or Y/N.
Y/N is a 20 years old girl, who is best friends with Niki ( I think you guys know what Niki's origin is) Y/N is like Niki's origin but Y/N is half dolphin, making her faster than Niki and can navigate the ocean better. Y/N and Niki became friends 5 years after the great war, yes there was a war between origins and only small percent of the different kinds of origin survive and some origins are extinct.
