The metallic taste of blood burned in her mouth as she ran for her life. Or whatever was left of it. She body was barely hanging on. All she had to do was make it to the city and she'd be free. Freedom. A concept she was unfamiliar with. A concept she was familiar with was revenge, hatred, and darkness. The darkness never fazed her. She was immune to pain. Physical nor mental. Not after everything was ripped from her. Her life, her family, even her time. Everything was gone for her. Nothing but revenge.
