Charles Finley is a simple boy who works as a baker in a family-run business. Charles has been training since day one to continue the family legacy of cooks. His family has high hopes in his talent, but he dreams of becoming something more: A mage. Night after night, he receives visions from powers long forgotten, powers that whisper secrets and advice, powers that speak of an ancient evil. One particular night, he encounters a witch who tells him to search for her. Who is she? What are these voices and why do they seem to speak only to him? With towns falling and time ticking away, Charles must find a way to help manage a bakery, hold his broken family together, continue his studies, and must somehow stop an otherworldly force that threatens to overcome the mortal realm.
