Introduction

This story follows the tale of Max Witherman, a disabled 11 year old boy whose legs are too weak and too small to be able to walk. Max always finds himself at the bottom of the food chain when the bullies come around.
After a freak accident, the doctor suggests that he should take it easy and not go to school. But Max is determined to start again and at least try to make things better... And it does! Max later meets Flynn, Amalia, Dawn, and Jiro.
The kids soon learn that the school will be shut down, PERMANENTLY, as they're not raising enough money to keep it. Max and his friends need to find a way to save their school... but how? this story teaches readers about kindness, equality, and friendship.
