Description
In a world left ravaged by sickness and wars, Kelani knows there are only two types of people left on this sick planet. The ones like her, the ones who chose to get out and refused to crumble to the reign of The New Rule, despite the persecution it brought down on them. Then there was the others, the ones who were followers who decided to obey and trade their humanity for the semblance of the world they missed so much. For years Kelani and her best friend Maci have lived in the deserted woods, making their way each day to simply survive. Neither of them needed anything but the other, but when Maci is stolen away and taken behind enemy lines, Kelani knows she has a choice to make. She can try to fend for herself and let her friend go, or she can hunt down the people who took her away, saving her friend and making them pay in the process. For her, the choice is easy. Kelani must infiltrate these monster's camp and find her friend before it's too late, but her mission may not turn out to be as simple as it seems. Kelani may just learn that she and the others have more in common than she previously thought, and a certain guard might just make staying on task an even more daunting chore than she ever thought.
