It's 1987 in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, and Stephanie Hirschbaum is new in town. She gets a good sitting job at her new friend Lizzie's place, watching twelve year old Robby, a science nerd after her own heart. The only bad thing about working for the Farbers is seeing Brandon, Lizzie's twin brother. Brandon is the cutest guy Stephanie has ever met, but she's a nerd. With her big glasses and high waisted jeans, Stephanie isn't nearly is pretty as Lizzie, or Brandon's crush Lauren. To top it all, the most embarrassing things always seem to happen when he's around. Upon their first meeting, she accidentally dribbled gummy worms. Could Stephanie ever even entertain the idea of having Brandon fall in love with her, or is it only in her dreams?
