When Laurel Garner emerges from the rubble with her nephew, Bay, she has only one goal. Survive. Just as they and a handful of survivors were about to lose hope, an abandoned town is found, nestled in the forest, promising shelter and safety. But something feels wrong about this place. Questions plague Laurel's mind that make her uneasy. Who built this town and left? What do the ancient writings and paintings mean? And if this place is supposed to be their salvation, why does Laurel feel like she's walking to her death?
