Description
The Beachwood Cafe: Mal de Coucou Mal de Coucou=a phenomenon in which you have an active social life but very few close friends- people you can trust, be yourself with, who can help you- a form of social malnutrition in which even if you devour an entire buffet of chitchat, you'll still feel pangs of hunger. Callie is happy with her life. Mostly. She surrounds herself with people so no one worries when in reality she still feels alone in a room full of people. One night, she meets Harry and her whole world is flipped. With the help of Harry she finds her soulmate and learns that not everyone is bad and will leave her feeling alone. This is the story of when Harry met Callie. ~~~ "You need to sleep at some point Callie." He said with a soft smile. "Tea and coffee won't fuel you forever." I didn't know what to say. After a couple of seconds the bell above the door signified that someone had walked in. "You should probably see who it is." I said to Charlie with a large grin. He rolled his eyes and stood up to greet whoever it was. "Hi." I glanced up at the voice and was met with a tall figure at the end of my table. "Ummm. Hey." I said with a small smile. I looked back down at my work and carried on my edit. I could feel a pair of eyes staring into the back of my head. When I looked back up I was greeted by a pair of emerald green eyes still standing at the end of the table. I looked back up at him and then around the room. There was no one else here. There were plenty of other seats for him to choose from. "Do you want to sit down?" I asked him as I pointed at the empty bench opposite me. ~~~
